Insurance
Fully comprehensive insurance is provided by CW Motor Home Hire, but the hirer is liable for the first £1,000.00, ( which is taken on a credit or debit card, and cancelled when motor home is returned with no damage) for any damage to the home, both internally and externally, including fixtures and fitting. The vehicles is only insured for the time contracted, late returns of the vehicle would incur a traffic offence under the road traffic act. Hirers are advised to take out addition personal holiday insurance.
All Drivers Mandatory Conditions
All drivers must be between 25 and 70 years of age. Must of held a domestic driving licence for at least 36 months. To hire the Welcome 27 you need to have past your test before 1997. The licence must be unendorsed (except for speeding and parking offences, which will be charged extra) and must be produced at the time of collecting the vehicle. Visitors from abroad must hold a current international driving permit or licence. Two forms of proof of identity (including photo such as a passport) must be produced by all hirers at the start of the hire, also a utility bills, bank or and credit card statements.
Breakdowns
In the unlikely event of a breakdown, the hirer should seek the hep from the AA, details in information pack. Inform CW Motor Home Hire immediately, so we are at hand to assist you. Any repair must be authorised by CW Motor Home Hire. All costs authorised will be reimbursed on proof of a receipted invoice.
Change of vehicle
If, due to circumstances beyond our control, the motor home is not available, CW Motor Home Hire reserves the right to offer a suitable alternative motor home. If this is not acceptable, or another motor home is not available, the liability of CW Motor Home Hire will be limited to a refund of monies paid, and the hirer shall have no further claims against CW Motor Home Hire.
Title to Vehicle
I acknowledge that CW Motor Home hire retains title to the Vehicle and that I possess the goods as a mere bailee only. I do not have any right to pledge CW Motor Home hire’s credit in connection the Vehicle and agree not to do so. I shall not agree, attempt offer or purport to sell, assign, sublet, lend, pledge, mortgage, let or hire, or otherwise part with or attempt to part with the personal possession of or otherwise deal with the Vehicle.
Proper Law
This agreement shall be governed by the law of Great Britain in which this agreement is signed.
Free car Parking
Car parking at owners risk is provided free to the hirer for the duration of the hire period.
Collection of vehicle
Your motor home will be ready for collection from 3 p.m. (or at an agreed time). Please allow at least thirty minutes hand over time. During this time there will be a full vehicle inspection, internally and externally, during which time the hirer will sign out the vehicle. The hirer will be given a comprehensive tour of the facilities on board. (A file of instructions will also be supplied).
Return of vehicle
The vehicle must be returned on the date and before the time stated on the rental agreement. The Motor home must be returned clean and in the same condition at time of collection. If not a cleaning charge of £50.00 will be made.
There is a separate toilet cleaning fee, if the toilet waste tank is not empty on return, a charge of £50.00 will be made.
The Motor home must be returned with a full tank of fuel, otherwise a refuelling charge will be made of the cost of fuel plus £20.00.
Late returns
RETURNS MUST BE BETWEEN 9.00 TO 11.00 A.M.
If you will be late returning, the rental company must be advised immediately. Failure to advise may result in prosecution for during whilst uninsured. An additional charge of £50.00 per hour will be payable for all late returns.
Your co-operation in returning the motor home on the arrange date and time is essential in order that the motor home is available for the next hire.
No refund is given for early returns.
The Hirer agrees he or she must
1. Not carry more passengers than the seating capacity of the vehicle or allow the vehicle to be overloaded.
2. No pets.
3. No smoking.
4. Shall not use vehicle for hire or reward.
5. Will be responsible to us for the cost of making good any damage caused by improper use.
6. Understands that he/she is responsible for any fines (including parking) which may be incurred during hire period
7. Shall not , without written consent from CW Motor Home Hire remove the vehicle from the UK mainland.
8 Understands that any damage to the interior, living or cooking equipment, however small will be charged to the hirer.
9. Must not leave unoccupied vehicle with the keys in ignition.
10. Must not come into contact with salt water.
11. Must not tow any other vehicles or trailer.
12. Submersion in water.
13. Must only be driven on sealed/bitumen roads.
14. Be responsible for towing our of bogged area.
15. Left unoccupied without the CD faceplate removed, steering wheel security lock applied and the DVD screen covered.
Responsibility when accident occurs:
In the event of any accident, loss or damage arising out of the use of the vehicle, I will,
1. Notify CW Motor Home Hire within24hrs of the happening of event.
2. Obtain the names and addresses of third parties and any witnesses and report the event to the nearest police station;
3. Not make any admission of liability to other parties, settlement offer or other like offer;
4. Assist CW Motor Home Hire in handling any claim arising from any event, including providing all relevant information and attending Court to give evidence.
Terminating the Agreement
I acknowledge that CW Motor Home Hire may terminate this Agreement and repossess the Vehicle at any time, without notification to me, and that I will pay the reasonable costs of repossessing the Vehicle, including towing charges if:
1. I am in breach of any term of this Agreement;
2. I have obtained the Vehicle through fraud or misrepresentation;
3. The Vehicle appears abandoned;
4. The Vehicle is not returned on the agreed return date or CW Motor Home Hire reasonably believes that the Vehicle will not be returned on the agreed return time;
5. CW Motor Home Hire considers on reasonable grounds, that the safety of passengers or the condition of the Vehicle is endangered. I understand that in the event of such termination or repossession, I have no right to a refund of any part of the rental charges or the Security Deposit.
Please note it is your sole resistibility to make daily checks of oil, water and tyres whist the vehicle is in your care.
Fines
Any and fines incurred by the hirer for the infringement of traffic laws or regulations shall be pain in full by the hirer, who indemnifies CW Motor Home Hire from any such liabilities in such circumstances.
Booking reservation
A non returnable deposit of £250.00 is due at the time of making the reservation and will be deducted from the total hire charge. The balance is due 6 weeks prior to departure. Bookings made within 6 weeks of departure requires full payment.
Cancellation charges
6 weeks—2 weeks before hire is due to commence 50% of total hire charge
2 weeks—no show 100% of total hire charges
Rights
CW Motor Home Hire reserves the right to vary rates, conditions and specifications without notice. CW Motor Home Hire also reserves the right to refuse hire to any person. All rental agreements are subject to the standard terms and conditions of the agreements supplement as above
CW Motor Home Hire may cancel the hire of the motor home if, at the time of collection, the drivers licences are invalid or not in accordance with the terms and conditions. In these circumstances all monies paid by the hirer (except the insurance deposit) will be forfeited
